Natural Ways CBD water soluble isolate is versatile DIY option

Did you know Natural Ways sells water soluble CBD isolate for customers who want to add it to their own products? The name gives it away; CBD isolate contains no terpenes and no cannabinoids other than CBD. This also means it’s THC-free.

Keep reading to learn more about isolate and its many uses!

What is CBD isolate? How is it produced?

CBD isolate, also known as single-molecule CBD, is a crystalline solid or powder of pure CBD. It has no distinctive smell or taste because it has lacks terpenes, the compounds in all plants, including cannabis, that give them their taste or smell.

CBD isolate is produced by one of several different processes used to extract compounds from cannabis. The preferred method is known as CO2 extraction:

In a pressurized chamber called a closed-loop extractor, CO2 gas is compressed until it becomes a liquid. The liquid is forced over the cannabis material where it strips away cannabinoids like CBD. The entire solution is brought back to temperatures and pressures at which the CO2 reverts to gas and evaporates, leaving behind the CBD extracted out of the cannabis plant material. The crystals of CBD left behind are then ground into a powder.

(The CO2 method results in a stronger, purer full-spectrum CBD extract, too.)

Another common extraction method – the solvent method – uses ethanol, butane, or propane in a closed loop system. The solvents are washed over the cannabis to extract the cannabinoids including CBD. This is a cheaper method of extraction, but it results in a less potent CBD. Additionally, the solvents used in the extraction process may release impurities that give the final result an unpleasant taste or smell.

All Natural Ways CBD products, whether full spectrum, broad spectrum, or isolate, are made with CBD that has been extracted using the CO2 method.

NOTE: Natural Ways does not recommend that its customers attempt CO2 extraction at home. The equipment to perform this process is very expensive and the CO2 must be run at extremely high pressure. Unless you know what you’re doing, you could cause a dangerous explosion!

It’s better to obtain high-quality CBD extracts in products from a reputable dealer like Natural Ways.

Water-soluble CBD isolate makes customizing so simple!

Natural Ways makes using CBD isolate even easier! We carry a water-soluble form our customers use to enhance their coffees and teas, and even their baked goods. Because it comes in a 30ml bottle with a dropper, you don’t have to mess with CBD powder getting everywhere. The liquid form is portable, too, so you can take it when you go out to eat.

Water-soluble CBD is different from traditional powdered CBD extract in that it mixes easily with water. CBD, by nature, is an oil. The process to make water-soluble CBD involves “hiding” a CBD oil molecule in a bubble called a “micelle” made of water-loving substances. As a result, CBD in water-soluble products dissolves easily in the bloodstream to carry its benefits throughout the body. The process also allows CBD isolate to be mixed into liquids without separation.

Some customers even add a couple of drops to their pet’s food or drinking water. Since the isolate has no taste or smell, it isn’t repellant to dogs or cats with sensitive noses.

There is no standardized dosing for CBD; everyone is different and the amount that works for you might not work for someone else.

Is CBD isolate still beneficial without the other cannabinoids or THC?

One study showed CBD isolate is beneficial for some types of inflammation; however, it does not provide the same range of benefits that full-spectrum CBD extract does. Remember, full spectrum CBD includes not only CBD but cannabis terpenes, lesser amounts of other cannabinoids like CBN, CBC, or CBG and 0.3% of THC (a therapeutic dose with no psychoactive effect).

CBD isolate is exceptionally useful for anyone who wants the benefits of CBD generally but who does not want or cannot have any THC.

An isolate is also going to be a good choice for anyone with sensitivities to certain plant-based compounds including terpenes.
